Sunday Face #2.

I'm here in my pajamas (still), glasses on, and bowl of cereal beside me. What a cliched blogger image! All I need is a cuppa tea and I'm set. Today became a bit of a lazy day (like always) and also a test runner. I wanted a lighter coverage than school-work foundation, so I went for the Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream. Maybe I'm inherently drawn to lighter coverage bases on days off, but I'd say that I mostly enjoy this one because it feels comfortable on my skin and covers enough so that if someone decided to pop by, they wouldn't be horrified for life. I also again went for a bit of concealer with the Maybelline Super Stay 24 Hour Concealer in Ivory. I've recently taken to setting my eyebrows in the morning. I still need to find a colour that matches my brows but for now, the Covergirl Professional Natural Lash Mascara will do. Just run that through once or twice and I feel much better. It also doesn't feel too heavy or weighing, which I was a bit worried about!

For some holiday inspired goodness, I've started looking for unique colors to add to eye looks. Pulled out an old favourite of mine, the Too Faced 'Midnight Mist' eyeshadow to test run for the day in a new look. I also used a bit of Bobbi Brown 'Iced Mauve' on the lids. The perfect shimmery buildable eyeshadow. I'm telling ya, sooner or later I'm going to be begging for adoption by the brilliant Bobbi. Who am I kidding? I already tweet her all the time! Finally, I've recently grown to love highlighters and am testing out a new one. The Anastasia Matte Highlighter in Camille has been going under my brow and in the inner tear duct area. While I really enjoy this highlighter, I received it as a thank you gift from the- wait for it- bitchiest bitch in the world. Let me just say, I am not getting my brows done there again.

After reading Vivianna's post, I've been running around every drugstore within 20 miles of me looking for the dog garn Rimmel Kate Moss Matte Lipstick (110). I'll have you know that I've been on the search for these bad boys ever since their release in the UK.... And I still have yet to find them!! Help me! My favourites for this month are a bit scattered but I've decided to just go for it and talk a bit about my go to products (some new, some old) for September. One of several new purchases this month, I've recently discovered the L'Oreal BB Cream. This is only the second BB Cream I've tried, so don't hurt me. I think that it works really well, and would work even more for someone with combination skin. It gives much more coverage than the Maybelline BB Cream. It's also just a bit too light for me right now, but come winter and the dark sky, it'll work really well with my complexion. I have honest to god fallen in love with the Maybelline Councealer. It works so so SO well on my skin. It lasts ALL day and blends very easily. I have worn the Bronze Colour Tattoo every day for the last two weeks, at least, and I'm not sick of it in the least. It applies so easily, can be built up for a more dramatic look, or sheered out for everyday wear. Monte Carlo is such a beautiful deep red, and applies very easily for someone who is not the best with lipstick. I really have loved using the Botanics Clay Mask. I don't find it particularly conditioning, but more so detoxing. I would love to try any REN Hydrating mask, that would be my dream honestly... I've also fallen back into love with both Desire and Douceur. Desire is so nice for a pop of colour on your cheeks on a dull day and Douceur works amazingly as a contour colour for someone as pale as I am.

Non-Beauty related favourites? Grimmy's Radio 1 Breakfast Show... I can't rave enough about this. I listen to it nearly every night while doing homework and it keeps me awake and is just so good. I just love him as a radio host. I've also really been enjoying the X Factor recently! That's also really well done.

Everyday Makeup

My every day makeup routine is quite simple to be honest, but I thought I'd let you in on what I use. This is the makeup I use five days a week while going to school. It's quick, it's easy and it's super natural. I start with my Maybelline Dream Cream 8-in-1 BB Cream in Light/Medium with my Real Techniques buffing brush. After this, I apply concealer to any blemishes with my MAC Select Moisturecover in NC15 and to my under eyes with my Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer in Light. I set my foundation using MAC Studio Fix in NC15. I switch between using NARS Douceur and Orgasm on the apples of my cheeks, and always run a bit of MAC's Mineralize Skinfinish in Soft and Gentle on my cheek bones/nose. I occasionally use this as eyeshadow as well! For my eyes, I use Two Faced Shadow Primer. I then apply Bootycall from Urban Decay's Naked Two palette on my lids with a Sigma E55 Shader brush and run Tease through my crease with an E30 brush. Occasionally I will apply eyeliner (if I have extra time) and it switches between gel and pencil. If I do eyeliner, it's more often than not very smudged/smoky with pencil or very precise with gel. Then I curl my eyelashes, apply Maybelline Volume Express The Falsies (Waterproof) for lots of volume and then finish my top lashes with my Benefit "They're Real" mascara for lots of length. On my bottom lashes, I like to use my Revlon Grow Luscious mascara in Black/Brown to give a more natural effect. On my lips, I just use a regular lip balm and I'm out the door.

I try to switch up my makeup as often as possible, but this has just been what I have liked to use for the past two-three months. It's much easier to wear the same makeup each day if you have to wake up early, so you don't have to think about it.

I recently got very sick, so sorry about the lack of posts lately. Hopefully everything will go back to normal by next week.

Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream

This is my first ever BB cream that I've tried, so I don't have much to compare it to but I'm raving over it. I love it and frankly think it's the best new product that I've tried in months. I started using this last month and immediately found it very easy to work with. The product is obviously quite sheer but can definitely be built up to a medium coverage. For someone who hates the feeling of heavy makeup, this is a very good alternative to foundation. I'm also someone who has both things I'd like to cover up (blemishes) and things I'd like to accentuate (freckles) and this is really great for both of those things. The price isn't too steep ($8) and it's relatively easy to get ahold of (I believe it's available worldwide). It claims to do 8 things for your skin: blur imperfections, enhance, brighten, adjust to skin-tone, hydrate, provide protection against sun, and has 0% oils/heavy ingredients. Do I think that it does each of these? To a certain degree, yes! This product is wonderful for my skin. It reminds me of the Bobbi Brown Tinted Moisturizer ($42) minus the price. I believe it only has 5 shades to choose from, so it's limited in its range. This BB cream was also used in the Burberry S/S 13 show in London yesterday.

I'm dying to try the Maybelline 24 Hour Colour Tattoo in Rose Gold and the Rimmel London newest Kate Moss lippies. What are you favourite drug store products? Have you tried this BB Cream before?
